For contemporary Irish painter John McConnell, Ireland is a spiritual home. Widely known for his “Journey of an Ancient Soul” series, McConnell was elected full membership in the prestigious Artist’s Association of Ireland, AAI, in 1998. After a seven year sojourn to his homeland, he moved to Vancouver Island in 2004. Previously, McConnell was Director of Art Education at Appleby College in Oakville, Ontario. Widely collected on both sides of the Atlantic, his Irish landscapes and soul series reflect mystic journeys transcending time.Opening Reception: Monday January 16, 6-8pm
